Sea Kayaking in Sardinia 2008

As the autumn darkness descends over the Nordic countries and the sea begins to freeze, paddling conditions in Sardinia are still warm. The Mediterranean island is well known for its dramatically sculpted coastline, which is broken up by beautiful bays with small and idyllic sand beaches. In other words a fantastic coast to explore in a kayak.

The week will be a blend of course and tour. You will improve your paddling skills as well review and learn new rescue techniques. The programme will consist of one day paddling tours. The level of the tours will be set according to the experience and competency of the participants. The northeast coast of Sardinia offers everything from protected bays to exposed coast. Something for everyone actually!

Our base will be near the village of Olbia in northeast Sardinia. Olbia has excellent flight connections to both London, Rome and Milan. We can reach a wide variety of interesting paddling areas from our base and can therefore be flexible in regard to our plans and choose the most optimal area in terms of weather and wind conditions. But wherever we paddle the sea will be a warm and Meditteranean blue.
