Course and tour levels

In order for you to feel comfortable and get the most out of your course it is important to have the right level of experience and fitness for the activity you have chosen to take part in.

The descriptions should give you a fair idea of how physically demanding the tour or course will be.


Sea kayaking

  Beginners: Previous paddling experience not required. We will be paddling in calm waters with many breaks.

  Intermediate: Good general fitness level. Can paddle a rudderless kayak in a straight line in calm seas. We will be paddling 4-6 hours per day.

 Advanced: A good general fitness level. Used to paddling 2-3 hours on the trot without longer breaks. Has some experience of paddling in heavy seas. You must also have a command of several paddling strokes. We can be paddling up to 7-8 hours per day.
