A tour in the Aiguestortes y Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

This hiking tour is suitable for the beginner or for someone who has never been on a hiking tour and now wishes to conquer new terrain under safe and secure supervision. The hiking tour will include tuition, route planning, safety issues and weather assessment. The leader of the tour is a trained hiking instructor with an IML (International Mountain Leader qualification). The aim of the tour is that the participants will return home with new skills and feel safe in the knowledge that they will be able to hike in the mountains on their own accord.

The hike will take place in the Aiguestortes y Estany de Sant Maurici national park in Pyrenees in northern Spain. The journey is approximately four hours by car from Barcelona. The region offers formidable terrain with several mountain peaks in the 3000 metre region. The views are fantastic and stretch out far across the impressive mountain range.

The region has a rich fauna and with a bit of luck we will be able to catch a glimpse of the chamois, the bearded vulture and the golden eagle. Our base is the pleasant and tiny mountain village of Boi.

September is a good month for hiking in the national park. The days are long, the temperature agreeable (approx.15-20 Cī) and there are few other hikers in the region.

Duration: 7 days. Rendezvous at Barcelona Airport on day 1, hiking on day 2-6 and transportation back to Barcelona Airport on day 7.

Board: Breakfast + lunch are included. Dinner is not included. Boi has many exscelent restaurants.
Transportation: We will meet the participants at Barcelona airport on day 1. Other transfers during the week are included in the price as well as the return to the airport on day 7.

Not included in the price: Flights, insurance and dinner + beverages.
Insurance: The participants are responsible for their own insurance. Travel insurance is recommended.
